This aquaculture platform is a semi-submersible truss-type, which is mainly used for offshore fisheries aquaculture in Hong Kong's East Dragon Island waters.
The total length of the aquaculture platform is 91.3 m, the total width is 27.6 m, the depth is 7.5 m, the design draught is 6.5 meters, and the effective volume of aquaculture water is about 11,000 m3, which is able to withstand the wind of 17 levels, the wave height of 9 m, and the current of 1 m/s.
The platform adopts semi-submersible technology, which allows for limited diving and floating, and provides a comprehensive solution for simple maintenance of the platform such as catching and net changing. The aquaculture platform adopts a hybrid truss structure with truss and floating body, which maximizes the hydrodynamic effect of the aquaculture platform and the control of manufacturing cost, improves the exchange of water flow inside and outside the aquaculture platform, and increases the aquaculture efficiency.
The aquaculture platform is equipped with aquaculture area, intelligent aquaculture control area, energy power area, production material storage area and living area, and is equipped with aquaculture feeding expert decision-making system, multi-channel automatic baiting system, monitoring and control system, wind and solar complementary power generation system, seawater desalination equipment, fire alarm system and modern aquaculture process control equipment, such as net washer, net raiser, etc., which can realize the integrated management of aquaculture and unmanned aquaculture.
The aquaculture platform is mainly composed of the main structure, nets, mooring system and aquaculture supporting facilities. The main structure of the aquaculture platform is a steel all-welded structure, consisting of the first box structure, the tail box structure and truss structure. The box is welded by bone material and steel plate, and the first and the last box are connected by truss structure, which is welded by pipe. The aquaculture platform is mainly composed of the aquaculture space surrounded by the truss structure, and the mesh coat is fixed on the main structure, which constitutes the growing space for the fish and prevents the fish from escaping and the invasion of the enemy. The aquaculture platform adopts a multi-point mooring and positioning system, which serves as the foundation of the fishery in the water and is used to tie down the aquaculture platform.
